Kelly McGovern is a drummer from San Pedro, CA. He is a highly respected master of his art-form with a 17 year history of bashing cymbals and banging drums for hours on end. He has delved into all different forms of music with a background of blues, jazz, and big band and has been a member of both "Two Take Theory" and "Somehow Still Alive." He is currently playing with the artist Leah Jee who has a catchy, rock-pop attitude and sound and leaves Kelly with the opportunity to bring his full potential to each song with some punk-rock flare and style.
Kelly has proven that he has what it takes to be a worthy addition to any style of music, and he does not hesitate to always look for fellow musicians to make music with. He was also in the San Pedro High School Golden Pirate Regiment Drumline, as well as making MVP for percussion and All City District Honor Band Drumline. Not only has he put his full focus into progressing further and further at drums, he also had the honor of working with Dino Maddalone, an award winning producer and sponsor of Spaun Drums and Soultone Cymbals, as well as John Fuentes of Fuentech Drum Studios.
When it comes to dedicating your life to a passion, Kelly has shown true professionalism in all forms. His drum style and rhythmical precision is astounding and he will continue to learn and contribute to the realm of percussion.
